Solar PV Feed-in Tariffs Explained

The current rate of the feed-in tariff is 21p per kilowatt hour. This expires on 1st August 2012 so if you are contemplating having Solar PV please consider having it installed before the 1st of August so you can receive the maximum amount of Feed-in tariff available. However, don’t be put off if you haven’t had a quote you have enough time to receive a free no obligation quote from our Renewable Energy Manager then have enough time to have it fitted before the 1st August 2012.

Should you be reading this and it has passed the 1st August 2012 the tariff will continue to fall at a low rate in three month periods. So the first fall in the tariff will be from 21p to 16p on the 1st August and the next fall will be 1st November 2012 at a rate that is yet to be decided by the government but we will let you know as soon as the figure is released.

This is good news for all the solar industry including the potential customers as the government has added more certainty to the feed-in tariff and its rate changes.
